Guest Post: Allyson Lindt - Conflict of Interest

I'm excited to welcome my friend Allyson Lindt to my blog today. She is hear to talk about her new release Conflict of Interest... And just in time for Halloween she has lots of treats for you!

It's that time of year. Time to dress up, visit friends, and share tricks and treats. So in the spirit of how we celebrate Halloween, I'm visiting all sorts of blogs this week, in costume, as my characters, and they're talking about how they feel about the holiday. Really? We're doing this again? My author is channeling me for your (or her) amusement. Huzzah. *ahem* Sorry, I'll summon a bit more enthusiasm. Thing is, I don't have all the best memories of Halloween. My parents threw large parties that were an excuse to show off, and I snuck away entirely too early from most of them with whatever liquor I could snag from the bar when no one was looking. And we're not talking the cheap stuff, because this was to impress guests. But I'm older now, I've moved past that, and I honestly believe regardless of the past, we make our own, more pleasant memories for the future. There's always a chance to replace what came before with what's happening now. So I take full advantage of the day. I love handing out candy, I like the excuse to let everyone off work early, and it's possible I've stuck a plastic spider or two in the developers' cubes. I can tell you from personal experience, the tough guys scream louder than anyone. Totally worth it. So tell me, what's your favorite way to spend Halloween?
