Fall into Winter Romance Blog Hop

Welcome to History in the Hot Lane

I love to read. I seem to read more during the winter months. When there is snow on the ground and an icy wind blows I find staying inside a very good idea. I often curl up by the fire with a steamy romance. I'm not sure what keeps me warmer the fire or the scorching hot pages I'm reading! That's the way I like it.

Lots of New Years resolutions involve reading more. Goodreads asks members to take a pledge to read a certain number of books. If you haven't made much of a dent in your reading list this year there is still time. Grab your e-reader or the next paperback off your pile and dig in. Reading binges are as satisfying for me as eating a quart of ice cream. Not to mention so much healthier!

Are you a binge romance reader? If so, how do you go about it? Do you pick an author and read their entire backlist at once? Do you pick a genre and go from there? Maybe you pick a theme like spooky reads for Halloween? Or you could just be a random soul like me!

GIVEAWAY:
I am an erotic romance author who writes primarily GLBT historicals. My debut F/F novella The Virgin Madam (Girls and Guns Book 1) will be released from Decadent Publishing on Nov. 5th.

One lucky commenter on this post will win a copy of The Virgin Madam in any e-format they choose.

Blurb:

After a vicious outlaw murders her father, Laura Rutherford sees no future beyond running the family brothel and kowtowing to the local gang. Not even marriage offers escape. No man can compete with the beautiful women who dance the can-can for her each night...at least not until a gentle stranger sweeps in and opens her eyes to desires too long denied.

Joe Bascum stumbles into Bitterroot Flats looking for a place to hide from a gunman out for blood. When the innocent madam from the local brothel offers a bed and bath, Joe accepts hoping to show the buttoned-up beauty just how right forbidden desire can feel.

When danger escalates, can Laura help Joe defeat the famous Fletcher gang, or is she destined to live a lonely life as the virgin madam?

It is great to see another western fan. The genre is not as popular as it used to be.
