It is time for the Dirty Birdie Blog Hop! This is a hop for authors, publishers, bloggers… basically anyone who loves dirty books, has a website or blog, and wants to join in!
So of course I signed up.
Time for a dirty character interview!
Thank you for having me, Shiloh. My name is Kojo. It is an African name. I immigrated to the United States in 1800. I had culture shock for a while, but Captain Mather helped me adjust to my new life.
1. You wear a leather necklace with a single red bead. How is that significant to you?
My necklace is a talisman. I live with one foot in this world and one foot in the Spirit world. The necklace helps me to communicate with the Spirits. In Africa I was revered for this gift.
2. You say you're close to the Spirits. How do they appear to you? And do you still talk to them now that you've moved to a new country?
I was afraid when I left Africa I would lose my connection with the Spirits, but they followed me to my new home and continue to offer me guidance. I can picture the Spirits in my mind's eye as full bodied people. They either rise up from the ground or descend down upon me like a bird. I can feel them touch me and surround me.
3. When did you realize you were interested in men?
One reason I chose to devote my life to the Spirits was because I had no interest in women. I didn't understand it. Being close to the Spirit world gave me fulfillment, but I needed more. It wasn't until I met Captain Mather that I realized I was interested in men. I thank the Spirits for bringing us together.
4. What is your favorite food?
I like a good smoked fish and a glass of rum.
5. What is your favorite sexual position?
I like the missionary position. Although basic it is very intimate. I love to see my partner's eyes. Nothing excites me more than to watch him come..
6. Do you miss your home in Africa?
I had a chance to go back to Africa but they wouldn't understand my love for another man. The Spirits guided me to this new country. I do miss my family and I dream about my old village, but I know I will have a more fulfilling life here.
Each site participating in the Dirty Birdie Flock Hop is offering some sort of giveaway. In honor of Kojo's saltwater journey and falling in love aboard a ship I am giving away an ocean scented candle to one lucky commenter.
More eye candy awaits you. I encourage you to continue hopping! You can view all the participating sites here: http://www.dirtybirdiesauthors.com/dirty-birdies-flock-hop/

DeleteGlad you loved meeting, Kojo. I've gotten really close to him. ;)
That was such a brilliant interview. I want to know so much more about Kojo now! I really enjoy the part of the interview about the spirit guides and how Kojo's followed along with him when he left his life to pursue what he felt must and how thankful he is to them for helping him out. I really enjoyed the entire interview and am adding the book to the need to have list because I really want to know more now!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful interview, the beautiful picture to look at (I do like to look at it, I admit it!), and the chance to enter the giveaway. Have a nice day everyone.
