Meet Kojo and Captain Mather

My first historical erotica novella is Saltwater Lover... a M/M romance set aboard a slaving ship in 1800.

When Kojo, a native African with one foot in this world and one foot in the spirit world, is captured and hauled aboard a slaving ship, he meets Captain Mather a man who stirs strange desires in him. Is he a devil meant to sell him, or steal his heart?

Captain Mather lusts for Kojo the first time he sees him bound on the beach. He resists the African’s charms even though he is the first man to arouse him in years. Falling in love with a slave is wrong and when they land he will be sold. And he needs the money the fine man will bring if he is to pay off his creditors.

Kojo goes on a hunger strike and Captain Mather is forced to take care of him. Passions ignite over the long voyage. Is their forbidden love doomed or do the spirits have another plan?

I picture Kojo as a young Denzel Washington. He's drop dead sexy! Look at those eyes and lips.

Now for the other half of this hot duo. Deciding on the actor to play Captain Mather was harder for me. It actually took me a long time. I never found someone who perfectly fit his character.

Saltwater Lover is a May/September romance so Captain Mather is older and more experienced. I picture the stalwart seaman as looking similar to Brad Pitt.

History of Sex Toys

You can find just about anything on YouTube!

Here is a short video on the history of sex toys. It starts 30 thousand years ago with the supposed first dildo and goes all the way to modern day in only 5 minutes! It hit every major milestone I could think of and even some I didn't know about. This might be the quickest and most fun history lesson ever.

I encourage you to take a look.

This is History in the Hot Lane!

The Devil of Whiskey Row by Renee Rose

I love historical romances but I haven't read too many westerns. It is kind of funny since I love watching western movies. I guess I've stayed away from them because the few I have tried were disappointing. The Devil of Whiskey Row renewed my faith in a good western romance.

I also liked the unique nature of this book. It wasn't with the usual cowboys, rodeo stars, or sheriffs. The hero owns a brothel!

And it was hot!

Blurb:

Forced by miserable circumstance to work in a gold rush brothel, Cora Underhill hates what her life has become. When a fire sweeps through her workplace, she welcomes death as an end to it all. But then Jake Diggory crashes through her window for an unwelcome rescue, offering her shelter and a paid position at his establishment. She accepts, in spite of Jake's fearsome reputation as 'The Devil Diggory', and soon sees another side to Jake--the firm but caring side of him which led his girls to name him 'Daddy Diggs'.

Life at Daddy Diggs' is an entirely new experience for Cora. Jake has strict rules which he backs up with over the knee discipline, but he will not tolerate any mistreatment of his girls and he can go from playing beautiful music on a piano to defending them with his bare fists. The strangest thing of all, however, is the fact that every girl at Daddy Diggs' swears that Jake has never slept with her, or with any other woman for that matter, since his fiancée's death back in Ireland fifteen years ago.

Cora attempts to emulate the other prostitutes at Daddy Diggs', who enjoy making money, holding power over men and even the act of sex, but she still finds no pleasure in the company of men--until the day she inadvertently arouses the passion of The Devil Diggory. His fierce lovemaking thaws some frozen part of her, but it seems Jake is only attracted to her because she resembles his dead fiancée. Confused by his new feelings for Cora and guilt over his broken vow of celibacy, Jake pushes Cora away. Can he come to terms with his past and claim Cora for his own, or will his grief keep them apart forever?

Publisher's Note: The Devil of Whiskey Row is an erotic romance novel that includes both consensual and non-consensual spankings, anal play, exhibitionism, graphic sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book

My Review:

This is the first book I've read by Renee Rose. Cora, forced by circumstances, becomes a whore. She has become tough and jaded over the years, but when the devil of Whiskey Row rescues her from a burning building and gives her a job at his establishment she begins to soften. He is an alpha with a tender side, which I love. I'm not fond of spanking scenes, but the author did them well.

I loved the progression of this book. It was faced paced and easy to read. I'm a fan of westerns and this one was unique and did not disappoint.

I give the Devil of Whiskey Row **** 4 stars! I look forward to reading more books by Renee Rose.

The Sexual Side of Female Hysteria

Have you heard of the medical condition female hysteria? It was a medical condition that many women loved to have... at least in the Victorian Era.

While the supposed female medical condition hysteria has roots in Ancient Greece or Egypt it became very common in the Victorian Era. It was estimated at that time that 75% of women suffered from hysteria. It was the catch all diagnosis. Women considered to be suffering from it exhibited a wide array of symptoms ranging from nervousness to muscle spasms. It is interesting that loss of appetite for sex and the complete opposite increased sexual desire were both symptoms for female hysteria. Also, the tendency to cause trouble is among the extensive list of symptoms.

The treatment for female hysteria was to give the woman an orgasm.  Yep. That's right. Of course, this was done by a trained physician. Because of the private nature of this treatment doctors often treated the women at home perhaps on a settee in the parlor. Common treatments included manual stimulation and hydrotherapy (shooting a jet of water at the vagina, or the use of dildoes. Electric-powered vibrators were patented in the 1870s for use in doctors' offices to make it easier for women to reach the state of "hysterical paroxysm" the technical term they used for orgasm.

Some physicians realized these treatments gave women sexual pleasure and refused to treat cases or hysteria, but many more doctors made a lot of money fulfilling this need. It is not hard to believe that these treatments also stimulated the doctor as well!

As the medical diagnosis for hysteria became more scientific the vast symptoms were narrowed down until WWI when the malady was no longer considered a medical condition.

Author Eva Lefoy Visits: Justin Timberlake and Pastry

It’s Justin Timberlake’s fault I wrote a book about pastry!

Well, sort of.

I mean, it’s really the song’s fault, if you want to know the truth. Or, to back up a little further, it’s all Timbaland’s fault. Yep. No, I don’t normally listen to rap, and I only know of Justin Timberlake via the social media and news about who he’s dating. I’ve never purchased an album made by either of them. What happened though is I heard a song.

Back in the days of yore – before ABC cancelled my favorite soap opera, One Life to Live (that was a sad, sad day!) – I used to work out at the gym. And while I was there, I sometimes heard this song on the local radio:

The Way I Are, by Timbaland with Keri Hilson, D.O.E. and Sebastian

Now, I had no idea who these people were, but the tune was catchy and I found myself listening to it on YouTube over and over again. Why not? I know, I know, I’m getting to the pastry…

So then I figured, if I liked that song, maybe I’d like another of Timabland’s songs. I searched around on YouTube and after listening to a few duds (IMO!), I found this one:

Carry Out by Timabland, with Justin Timberlake

Now, again, I don’t listen to rap, but the tune is catchy –and look at those pastries! No, I’m not talking about the half-naked girls! What I’m really getting at and what the artists are playing up with this video is the relationship between food and sex. It’s pretty evident in this video, if you see what I mean. Ahem.

Anyway, soon after viewing this my devilish brain went to work and came up with a sexy pastry chef and a girl with a sweet craving that needed to be satisfied. Put the two of them together, and viola! You have Sweet Cravings, my first book released from Decadent Publishing.

Now that you know how it all happened, aren’t you kind of hungry?

I am!

Here’s the blurb for Sweet Cravings:

Riding the waves of a sugar high, Violet Cunningham seduces the town’s newest pastry chef, slathering him with whipped cream in his secret kitchen. But all that is made of sugar melts, and her brazenness vanishes along with it, leaving her alone once again with her insecurities. Deciding to avoid temptation, she’s mortified when her boss sends her back to sexy chef Max’s kitchen to ask him to cater a company dinner.

After he turns the tables and seduces her, Max disappears the next morning. Violet blames herself but is it true or her old fears talking? When stray pastries show up at work, there’s only one man that could be responsible… and this time she refuses be distracted by creamy temptation. Well… maybe just a little…

You can buy Sweet Cravings!

Oh, and by the way, a great film if you’re into food + sex is Tampopo, the only Japanese movie where you can see a woman being tickled by a live crayfish on her belly. Yep, food and sex lends something significant to this oldie but goodie of a film. It’s subtitled, but keep in mind, food speaks a language of its own.

Bon appétit!

Eva

Late to the Party

I have been a writer my entire life... but I was late to the romance genre. I'm not sure why. I love to read a good romance. Something about a strong hero sweeping the heroine off her feet and the promise of a happily ever after ending after an emotional journey. But could I write one?

At the urging of a friend, and after devouring all the romance novels I could find, I decided to find out. After finishing my second historical romance... (the first one may stay in the bottom drawer of my desk forever) I realized that I not only could write romance, but I loved writing romance.

And it seemed that with each round of editing my romance became hotter and hotter and hotter until it was making me blush not with embarrassment but with excitement. If I was enjoying the sexy bits this much, wouldn't other readers?

I'm still in the process of publishing my first historical erotica novel. I have several novels in the works. I will keep you updated on my progress.

I'm a shy wallflower with a wild imagination. I'm glad my friend dragged me to the romance party. Now that I'm here I don't want to leave. After all, I'm still looking for my prince charming.

Cowboys are fun by Eva Lefoy

Okay, y’all know my first story out from Decadent Publishing is a M/F contemporary with sexy whipped cream and a hot chef, right?

Well, I also have a *hot* M/M cowboy story with Shiloh Saddler in the works! It’s about a black (gay) bull rider on the PBR circuit and the man who fall in love with him. Oh, and it also has a killer clown!
Last night the GS Long bull riding event came to town and I happened to snap a photo of the ring just to whet y’all’s appetite:
The ring
And here’s a snippet of the cowboy story:
The hard length inside pulsed with heat. He smoothed the moisture welling from the tip over the head. Soon Cole was bucking into his hand.
“Please, Garrett.”
“Yes,” he breathed. “Enough teasing.” He undid Cole’s shirt, shucked his own clothes and pulled a condom out of his pocket.
